DESCRIPTION
IST ProEar Mask: Special Ear Pressure Equalization Design for Comprehensive Protection and Comfort
Relief from Ear Pressure Discomfort
The uncomfortable ear pressure experienced during diving is caused by an imbalance in pressure on both sides of the eardrum. When the outer ear canal is exposed to water and ambient pressure, the middle ear (connected to the nasal cavity via the Eustachian tube) remains filled with air and experiences lower pressure. The higher external pressure can push the eardrum inward, causing discomfort or pain.
With the IST ProEar Mask, the ears are fully sealed by soft silicone ear covers. To equalize pressure on both sides of the eardrum, air flows into the ear covers via the equalization tubes. This balances the pressure, and as depth and pressure increase, the simple act of exhaling into the mask improves comfort and enjoyment during dives.
Key Features
Automatic Ear Pressure Equalization System
The ProEar Mask employs a special tube and sealing system that automatically balances the pressure inside and outside the ears as the diver exhales into the mask. This effectively prevents discomfort caused by pressure changes.
Prevents Pressure-Induced Ear Ache (Barotrauma)
The system prevents ear pain caused by barometric pressure changes during deep dives, ensuring a safer and more comfortable diving experience.
Enhanced Underwater Hearing and Directional Awareness
The optimized ear cover design not only keeps water out but also improves underwater hearing and directional awareness, increasing environmental awareness while diving.
Waterproof Silicone Ear Covers
The silicone ear covers provide a snug, watertight fit, keeping the ears dry and warm while reducing the risk of infections. This feature is especially beneficial for diving in cold water environments.
Anti-Fog Lens Technology
Equipped with anti-fog lens coating, the mask ensures clear vision underwater, reducing visual distortion and enhancing safety and enjoyment during dives.
